Google TV and Search

Google has announced the much-anticipated Google TV. Since Google utilizes search you can anticipate that yes, search will play a big role in the service. In what form? Quick Search Box in particular.

If Google TV takes off you will need to keep the following in mind:

1. Optimized, quality video content. Not only quality of your video content and
a detail to optimization will be important but you will also have to make your video(s)
visible to Google and YouTube.

2. You'll have to make sure your content looks good no matter the type of screen your viewer will
be using.

3. Utilizing the TV remote for search can/will definitely increase users accessibility.

4. Android applications will need to be accessible through Google TV. (Android is a software stack for mobile devices. The software includes an operating system, middleware and key applications.)

All in all, the webmaster will have to keep more and more things in mind when building a website. Do you want to build a traditional website or do you want to have excess to additional traffic by way of mobile and Google TV?

You've probably seen references by Google Adsense regarding mobile websites. But maybe like myself, I really didn't care to venture into the mobile realm. Why? The mobile applications are not fully perfected yet for their users.

However, the main question you should be asking yourself is: "Is there any monetary potential for a mobile website." Can be and soon will be. Of the 700 million mobile users, 30% are the Internet and browsing. I would think that's would be a large enough market to advertise too.

Affiliate Marketing can be one way in which you can have a business online. However, sometimes the expectations of those that enter into this business believe, falsely, that it is an easy business to begin. It's
not.

In fact, you really have to become acquainted with every facet of  advertising, as well as, constructing your website and the landing page on which your products will reside. If you're new to working online, expect to take some time to learn on the job. Yes, you'll make mistakes, but trust me, you'll learn. In fact, you're learn because it has either cost you money and time, or it was a dead-end way of getting your website noticed and traffic to your site. And revenue, it will grow as you learn.

Please note, affiliate marketing is not a "get rich quick" way of making money, at least for most people. It is a true business, that you will have to commit time and energy too, to see it grow.

All may know, you can write an article for content on your site, or as a means to advertise your site or products. I will be discussing the later.

Article marketing can be a long term solution to getting targeted traffic to your site. The results of article marketing can be seen over time. Thus, if you want an immediate solution, there is PPC advertising. But if you're on a tight budget, you may not be willing to outlay some money, especially if you're not comfortable with the PPC process.

So what are the benefits of writing an article for advertising sake?
  1. Long term solution to getting targeted traffic-if the article is relevant to the times.
  2. A free way to advertise
  3. Search engines likes relevant content.
What are the drawbacks to writing an article for advertising

  1. Not a quick solution-may see return in a week or two, or maybe a month.
  2.  The relevancy of the article will determine it's life. It could say in the serps for a month, a year, or maybe even 5 or more years. It is possible.
  3. It takes work. If you decide you don't want to write or feel you cannot write, than it may cost you to have someone write an article for you.
